私は、他郷からの移住者、持ち込まれた品や食べ物、そんな「モノ」たちがいつの間にか当たり前の存在となるまでに辿った軌跡、また、根づこうとする「モノ」たちの過程にある葛藤や変化に興味があります。私は、それらを音や匂いなど五感を取り入れて表現し、ミクストメディアやインスタレーションで作品化します。又、時に表現空間内に人々を引き込む企画を提案し、その「モノ」たちを体感することを促します。
I am interested in migrants who came from foreign lands, things and food that migrated from foreign lands, the path that those migrants followed to settle in, and struggle and change during the process of them taking root. I translate those into physical forms to be felt with five senses such as smell and sound, and create art works as mixed media or installation. Sometimes, I propose a plan to invite people into the art space to induce people to feel such migrants firsthand.
