100 Tonson Gallery cordially invites you to two special events at 100 Tonson Gallery on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 at 7 pm.
After the latest solo show 4 years ago at 100 Tonson Gallery, Yuree Kensaku is back with the latest work in her solo exhibition “Sweet with Mr. Fan”.
Known for her distinguished style, Yuree often employs the use of quirky cartoon-like characters and bright colors to convey her thoughts. Focusing on the theme of environmental issues, Yuree voices her concerns regarding the changes in natural surroundings through her body of works. Sweet with Mr. Fan intends to raise the global-warming awareness among viewers. Her works is part of the collection of Yokohama Art Museum and many collectors worldwide. She has exhibited solo in Japan , China and most recently in Taiwan .
In this occasion, Royal Méridien's Plaza Athénée hotel and 100 Tonson Gallery will announce an exciting partnership for the UNLOCK ART™ Programme. The global-wide programme is specially designed for Le Méridien hotel guests, encouraging them to explore the culture of the destination. As one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Bangkok, 100 Tonson Gallery recognizes the potential of contemporary art and aims to capture the current directions of the rapidly developing visual culture. 100 Tonson Gallery is thrilled and honored to be a part of such innovative programme under the curatorial direction of Global Artistic Director Jerome Sans.
The UNLOCK ART™ Programme announcement as well as Sweet with Mr. Fan’s opening event will be followed by cocktail reception, provided by Royal Méridien's Plaza Athénée hotel on July 2nd, 2009 at 100 Tonson Gallery from 7 pm onwards.
The exhibition will be on view from July 2nd to August 23rd, 2009
